Is it plastic? Is it yarn? It's Plarn!🧐🧶

October 4th we held our first Bluestem First Friday event in our LMC! Fourth graders gathered around to read one of the Illinois Bluestem Award book nominees, Washed Ashore: Making Art from Ocean Plastic. Fourth graders worked with Gratitude Generation to make plarn (plastic yarn) out of grocery bags, which will be crocheted into sleeping mats for those without access to reliable shelter.
